"I had not heard about Room 4 Sweets prior to today, but they had a pop-up at North Quincy High School's 36th Annual Lunar New Year Festival, and the cute macarons caught my eye. I learned that they are an online bakeshop based in Quincy, MA that sells custom cakes and macarons. The macarons were designed in the spirit of the Lunar New Year, and flavors included caramel, mango, matcha, and lychee. I opted for the matcha macaron, which was $3.50 and looked like a mandarin orange. Compared to the $4 macarons that are double the size that I get from my go-to spot, Sweet Piglet, this macaron was on the pricier side, but I understand that this is a small passion business that is currently only run by one person. The flavor of the matcha filling was subtle, and the texture reminded me of the typical red bean filling for mooncakes. The cookie had a nice bite, but I found it a bit too sweet. I liked the small candy bite that was used for the leaf."
