"The Chemist is Boston’s best hidden gem! It’s quickly become my crew’s go to place. Right by South Station in FiDi, so super easy to hit up after work (or for your lunch break). Well priced, strong drinks and mouthwatering food. Pro tip - the truffle fry + espresso martini combo is elite! The best part though is the immaculate energy with live DJs most nights. The music matches the lounge atmosphere and after a few drinks you might find yourself on the dance floor with friends (speaking from experience). The Chemist is easily an up and coming hot spot. "Went on a Wednesday evening so there were not many people, however it was a great vibe. Sat outselves and were greated with menus by one of the bartenders. Drinks were pretty good. Would go again, especially when it is not not busy. It is a small area so I could see it getting crowded or struggling to find a seat"

"Kitchen wasn’t working at all when I visited, which was a bummer because I wanted something to nibble on while I drink and I wasn’t informed through signage or even a quick verbal disclaimer before I ordered my drink. Completely dead (empty bar) on a Saturday at 7pm, bartender tried to overcharge me on a cocktail (I was completely ready to spend $16 on a cocktail, but at least update the menu if your point-of-service changed the prices too), and service was overall unfriendly and uninterested in any of the patrons, as the three staff were just chatting in the corner the whole time. The atmosphere and furnishing is nice, but the vibe isn’t. I really wanted this place to be a bar I could frequent, but they have some issues to work out. At least the drink was made well."

"Honestly pretty terrible! The pepperoni flatbread was quite bad— bland red sauce with a pile of ricotta. I got a devils margarita which was super sweet (I had asked what WASN’T sweet on the menu). So kind of a bummer all around."
