Party Favors - a family tradition

"I was disappointed by the service here. I went in with my mom to purchase a large expensive (very overpriced) floral decoration half sheet cake a few months ago. It was for a special occasion, and I asked the young lady at the counter during check out if she would be able tie the white box the cake was placed in with a simple balloon tie rope/string which they had plenty of in various colors. She said she could do it but that I would need to wait until she took care of some other customers in line, which I said was fine. I ended up waiting close to an hour for someone to tie a simple bow outside of the box which could have taken less than a minute. When a girl finally did put 2 colored ballon tie ropes around the box, it was not tied properly and was poorly and loosely tied... Disappointed, to say the least. It was a simple task and not only did we have to wait for almost an hour but it seemed like no effort or care was put in even when someone did do it. I ended up forgetting my umbrella at the store after leaving it at the front to wait around with my elderly mom, and they never found it after I checked by calling them then going back to the store a few days later. I'm not upset about the umbrella, just that the service after purchasing a big expensive cake was super disappointing. Needless to say, I will not be going back here in the future. Update after reading Party Favors' team response: "and you even said that it looked good before you accepted the box back and thanked us for going above and beyond. I'm a little confused to the one star review - if you were disappointed in the service you received, we would have gladly rectified it immediately if given the chance, which we were not. Your transaction in our store was no where near an hour long." ----- I'm confused by your response. I'm sorry but what you wrote is not accurate - I said a simple thank you out of common courtesy but do you have any proof that I said it looked good and "thanked you for going above and beyond"? I did not say that at all. This was an honest customer review; my mom and I absolutely did wait for roughly 45 minutes for the balloon tie wrap (which were lined up close to the register) - I don't recall the exact time because this was several months ago."

"Amazing isn't even enough!!..beautiful job done on my daughters birthday cake!...the cake was not only beautiful but super moist!!. The top layer was raspberry cream, middle layer no fruit filling, bottom layer was the lemon Blueberry, non of the layers with the fruit was soggy, just perfection!..the cake was also very stable so didn't tip over in the car ride to the party!"

"20 years ago I used to live very close to Party Favors and remember getting delicious cakes and cupcakes for every special occasion. The cake was dense and moist, the buttercream unparalleled. The decorations were amazing - poinsettias and snowmen and leaves. Why am I using the past tense? Well, I had such fond memories of this place that I recently requested some local family join me on an excursion to Party Favors while in town for the weekend. It was almost like a pilgrimage. I was disappointed. Bought 4 cupcakes and 2 cookies. The cake was dry. The cookies were stale. The buttercream not as robust. Change is inevitable but I was hoping that it wouldn’t happen here. No need for me to come back. But, please, by all means, you enjoy."

"By far the best shop combo I've ever seen! Adorable party supplies for every type of celebration, reasonably priced, and inside- a bakery worth stopping at for every reason. From ready-to-go cakes, custom goodies for a party, gorgeous cupcakes, to every seasonal treat you can think of- party favors has the most amazing bakery. I got a dozen of their seasonal cookies (pictured in a bowl I made up the street at Clayroom!!) and in the process encountered at least 3 people bringing their friends for "the best cupcake ever" or "my go-to dessert place". A party store worth popping into!"
