"Horrible customer service from the 1800 number all the way to the corporate office. I had been using this carshare for 8 years and every year it gets worse. They don't value customers, and deny responsibility for when zipcar or Zipcar App malfunctions. They now say if the previous person leaves it on low fuel you (the next driver has to re-fuel it on your own time and own money) and wouldn't provide the 15 min time credit that they used to apply for having to gas an improperly low fuel vehichle . The Text service to extend my reservation didn't work and I had to re-fuel a car that was left on less than a quarter tank of gas at the start of my trip and they improperly charged me a $77 late fee and would not refund it. I do not recommend this carshare service. The corporate office just denies responsibility and makes excuses for bad service. Laura Keyes has been literally the absolute worst person to deal with and refuses to provide a refund or address the issue properly."
"I keep trying to contact customer service but the calls go to Guadalahara, Mexico and I can't understand anyone. I found someone's zipcard in one of the cars I rented but I can't understand what anyone is saying when I call to report it. This never happened before. How do I contact Zipcar in the USA?"
"terrible customer service - i really love the idea, but i am trying to join since 4 weeks.... i called 6 times and write 13 emails.. without any sucess in setting up my account. they keep on saying my informations are missing or they can not open my PDFs.... you have to email your documents instead of uploading them to your profile. They tell me each time on the calls, they will take care and call me back soon to fix this... its 4 weeks since - i had enough."
"I second the review below. Deceptive corporate practices. There is virtually no way to co tact their upper management, so little accountability to their customers. This service permanently cancelled my account, but not before waiting for me to settle a $16 dollar fee that their billing department failed to charge to my card (it was working). Ive used this service for 3 years and have spent thousands with them. I guess they don't need their customers so much anymore, since my experience is echoed by many people. The quality is declining. So sad. But it's ok. I'm going to make sure as many people as possible know about it. When your revenue starts taking a cut, maybe learn not to piss off your good customers."
