Budget Truck Rental

"Had rented a truck from them for move across the country. Drove it on some local roads and loaded stuff from my house and storage unit. All happy so far. The moving day comes, I finish moving out and start driving in the early evening. In a couple hours my foot is starting to hurt and that is because the cabin floor is as hot as a frying pan :( (also cabin is not quiet at all with the engine noise). After it gets fully dark and I pass NY with all the outside lights I realize that only high beam works and what I thought was very dim running lights was just size indicators. Ugh. Most importantly, crazy loud noise of the main storage compartment at every bump in the road drove me crazy and I had to plug my ears very tightly to make it bearable. Likely missed all the honking on NY traffic, haha. Never again will I use that that BS of a company. Probably should have returned it/reloaded, but it is such a pain with full house worth of stuff."

"Don't waste your time renting from Budget or from this location. I had a confirmed reservation to pick up a truck at 8am the Sunday before Labor Day. I was told that if I didn't pick up the truck at 8am, or if I canceled the reservation within 48 hours I would be charged the entire amount. No problem, I needed the truck and had people lined up to help me move. When I arrived, I was told that they didn't have any trucks. I produced the conformation number and the agent calls, I`m guessing his boss, who confirms there are no trucks there. I was told that everyone was contacted (except me) and told that the trucks were moved to another location to be picked up. Where I ask the agent? His reply. "I don't know. You'll have to call the main number." So I call twice while on speaker phone so the agent can hear, and what I get is a recording stating that they were closed and I would have to call back. Come to find out the truck is 30 miles away. If I wanted to rent from a location further from my house I would have. Needless to say, I didn't pick up the truck, and I'm not paying for the rental. Budget and Avis lost a customer for life."

"One of the worst experiences I have ever had renting with a corporate account. Cost me over 2 hours of wasted time trying to fix the situation. Nobody at the location ever answers the phone and customer service kept transferring me around and everyone kept disconnecting."
