"I called service to see if they could reflash my Fiat with latest software for drive train. After much research I have learned that this will reset my transmission shifting pattern to factory specs. I was told immediately that maybe something is wrong with my transmission. I explained again the service I was seeking and asked if they had the equipment to do this work. I heard a long pause and then I was told they could do it but I would be responsible for anything that goes wrong with my transmission afterwards. I was hoping to hear a simple .. yes we can do that and inspect your car and see if this is appropriate. There have been many articles on doing this through a service bulletin for PCM reflash which has corrected this concern that I have. Another Mopar dealer that says Fiat but my level of comfort is low that they have a certified Fiat mechanic."
