Reviews
"This review was provided to Manny (sales) from Bid Cars Boston prior to posting. Manny agreed with its accuracy. After agreeing to a price (which Bid Cars Boston renegotiated after offering me a lower price), I would routinely go 5+ days with no information, no contact, and no expectations. Communication and the experience were good until we agreed on a price. My salesman, Manny, went on vacation and left me with no one to move the transaction along so things stagnated for a week while he was on vacation (and Bid Cars Boston had already deposited my money). The staff routinely promised to call me back. After the 5th time, I knew they had no intention of following up. I felt disrespected by their refusal to provide any expectation for a timeline. Their office staff is disorganized based on the multi-day timeline for any paperwork to be accomplished; including not receiving my vehicle title until after I had the vehicle. Pros: + Vehicle quality + Price (no mandatory hidden junk fees like LoJack, paint protection, etc) Cons: - Lack of professionalism - I was ignored for DAYS after they deposited my check for the full purchase price - Renegotiated the price higher after they had offered me a lower price"
"Bought a car here back in April. When I test drove the car the salesman had to be in the car, which is fine, but he chose a short route and never got to take the car on the highway. I wanted the car so whatever, but in hindsight that was weird. All downhill after signing the paperwork though. The car only came with one key and when I asked for a discount since I’d have to get a second key made I was told “most used cars only come with one key” so he wasn’t sure if that would be allowed. Weird because I’ve bought multiple cars and they’ve always come with two. Sure, I get it can only have one key but why try to push back on a few hundred dollars of a discount when you know cars should come with two keys. Especially a Mini which is expensive to replace the keys. The car needed to be registered once I got insurance and have a front plate installed. I sent my insurance over that night and spent days trying to get in touch with the sales rep who handles registration to get the car picked up who repeatedly ignored my communications and wouldn’t call me back. It wasn’t until I drove back there and waited over an hour could I finally pick up the car, and the license plate holder still hadn’t been installed so I assume they were doing nothing until I arrived. I purchased the (overpriced) extended warranty, which I just recently was interested in cancelling so I called the dealer and was told I’d have to come in for that to happen. I explained I’m about to move out of state and would really like to try and get the paperwork done via email/fax, so I requested to speak with the person who was in charge and was told they “just started a meeting so they’ll have to call me back.” Convenient timing. It’s been days and of course I haven’t heard back. I decide to take my car to be inspected before cancelling the warranty and learn the car needs $3k in repairs. The car was making a rattle from the engine bay which I assumed was just a loose cover on something, but the engine cover hadn’t been installed in even the correct direction, how careless of them. The brakes are corroding so need to be replaced, less of a deal but annoying. But the big deal is that they sold me a car that with an oil leak in the timing case cover causing the bushings to swell and need replaced. I’ve put less than two thousand miles on this car and was told by Mini it would take several months for this to happen, so the car was sold to me like this and wasn’t mentioned in their inspection. I’m kicking myself for not getting it immediately inspected but I’m sure it would’ve been impossible to get a call back anyway from them. Only four months later and having to spend this much money on repairs and it being impossible to get any contact back after purchase is a really negative experience. I would not recommend buying a car from this place, spend a little more and go to a more reputable dealer."
"Purchased our 2017 from BidCars 2 weeks ago we initially dealt with another salesman but when we returned to finish up with financing Manny helped us we wanted to take the car to Lexus dealer to have it checked for any issues he was very open to it the car checked out great we are thrilled with it we cannot say enough positive things about Manny he was fantastic very knowledgeable kept us updated thru the process and delivered car to our out of state home oh and want to give a shout out to the fellow who registered the car and brought to us he was great the only negative we have experienced is calls not being returned from other departments"
"Good buying experience with Nill Marat and Tom Communicative on the phone even if you don’t get a response right away they will call back. Purchased a 2018 vehicle that they bought from auction. They are negotiative if you bring cash"
