"Most disappointing service experience ever. Bought a new 2022 VW GTI during Covid from far away dealer. Have brought it here for warranty work several times. I Most recently the car started leaking coolant and had to be towed in. After sitting for a week before they could look at it I was told that I must’ve gotten in an accident and had front end work done, which is why the radiator was leaking. This was completely untrue. Waited another week for the radiator part to come in. And there was a recall for an engine cover that was never installed at delivery. I was told that would be taken care of when I picked up the car and got home. I realize the engine cover was never put on even though the dealership was paid for it and told me it was done. Also leaking coolant all over the engine in the hood inside. I asked the service advisor to make sure they wash the car before I headed over to pick it up and they assured me it would be washed. It wasn’t. I had to wait another 15 minutes for it to be washed. They were unwilling to do an oil change on the car stating that it was too low to the ground for their equipment. They were unwilling to warranty a broken key that had delaminated and come apart. Service advisor admitted his mistakes, but told me it was the last day of the month and they were slammed which I can understand. But the incompetence and unwillingness to satisfy the customer with a two year old car that is fully under warranty is unbelievable. It’s a wonderful car and I enjoy it, but I will never back to the service department with these guys."
"The buying experience at Wellesley Volkswagen was a true pleasure, Eric Tonkonogy went out of his way to ensure that my son’s first car was exactly what he wanted and made the experience informative and fun. I couldn’t recommend Wellesley Volkswagen and Eric more highly."
"My wife and I got a flat tire on the Mass Turnpike with our Atlas on the way to New York. Called Wellesley and Mike and Dylan were very friendly and did everything he could to get us in and out of the shop in less than two hours, right before closing no less! No one at the dealership had to be as nice as they were, from Mike, Dylan, Alisha, and even the guy who changed the tire — beyond nice. Maybe I'm just a jaded New Yorker but I don't think I've every been to a business with friendlier people. Thanks to the incredible staff at Wellesley were able to get home safely that evening after a previously traumatic experience to start the day."
"Two words: Andreas Becker. Most important: I knew from the moment I walked inside Wellesley VW that I was NOT going to be taken advantage of. It was like doing business with family. (the family you like) Andreas knows his vehicles and cares. He is so pleasant to work with. Buying a vehicle is a big financial decision and it can be scary. I am so happy I met Andreas. There is no pressure to buy, everything is transparent. No hidden fees. Just honest, good people. I didn’t know buying a car could be this easy. I cannot say enough kind words about this dealership. Professional, no haggling, comfortable atmosphere. These days it’s rare to come across kind hearted people and they exist at Wellesley VW. The finance portion of my experience was also nice. Eli was direct and to the point. I was not pressured into buying coverage I didn’t want. The car is an Ace and drives like a dream. If I could give this dealership 10 stars, I would!"
"I was looking to trade in my Passat and met Michael Eustace. I told him what I was looking for and he pulled a Tiguan, specced as I wanted, to test drive. We talked pricing, came to a reasonable offer for a trade-in, and sealed the deal in a few days, which gave my girlfriend and me time to work out the financial details. Michael was friendly and genuinely interested in our situation; we knew a lot of the same stomping grounds. At no point did he try to upsell. He made himself readily available in the days between our test drive to when we closed the deal and picked up the car. He is an excellent example of how a salesman should act and I hope he’ll be around the next time I buy a car."
