"July 3, 2023 - Driving south from East Lee on Route 8 North in Massachusetts, looking for a place outdoors to eat the food we picked up there, we saw a turnoff with a couple of picnic tables right by the Haley Brook portion of the Farmington River that was quiet, clean and lovely. The table we chose is in front of some roaring rapids and large rocks. The other table alongside the river by the other entrance/exit is in front of calmer water more downstream. A couple pulled in that side briefly to sit on the table and take a selfie with the river and trees behind them. There is a wood bridge that crosses the river here that leads to a hiking trail. Beautiful spot to eat, relax, explore or simply absorb."
