"Good spot to just pull up and get a good workout in. Never crowded and plenty of shadeb on the trails.... There's a pond probably good for birdwatching..... My dog likes it too...."
"The Boulders is quite a beautiful property provided to the public by the Berkshire Natural Resources Council. It is perfect for walking, hiking, or casual mountain biking. There are two parking options for when visiting The Boulders; on the eastside of Gulf Road in Dalton or there is another trailhead on Dalton Avenue in Pittsfield. There are four maintained trails on the property that are enjoyable to hike on, with the blue trail being used to get to the boulders themselves. All the trails were well marked with blazes, and were adequately maintained. Reaching the boulders is rewarded with a fantastic view of land below the vista. There are also some unmarked social trails that may make the property accessible without driving to one of the parking areas. The green trail offers several bridges to cross on, which is a nice feature. An old foundation can also be seen while hiking the loop of the red trail. Another site of interest is a rock staircase, that gives a view of the hill below."
"Beautiful wooded hike in the midst of town! The initial climb up the trail is a perfect cardio challenge for those just starting a fitness journey. Several trail loops to mix and match to your preferences for time and physical challange. Wear shoes with ankle support given that this is truly THE BOULDERS with small to medium sized out croppings of stones along the developed path. Saw a group of cyclists also enjoying this trail."
"Nice short hike through the woods. Mostly flat."
"Hiking in the middle of city life. Trails well marked, vista has nice 280 degree view"
