Donut King

"I came in excited for unique donuts. They do decorate the donated uniquely, but most are plain donuts: no filling. There was one tray with red velvet, a s’mores, and other fun flavors, but apparently it was “just for show.” The donut itself is a really good donut, but no filling, nothing unique except the decoration. None of them had filling except I assume the Boston cream. Kind of a missed opportunity. They do make donut cakes, which maybe is the bread and butter of the operation, as maybe a quarter of the cafe dining space is stacked with cake boxes, and more cakes waiting to be boxed sit on the side (behind glass, it is hygienic). I just wish the donuts for sale out front were more creative, not just normal donuts."

"We bought a Birthday cake there for our son's 12th birthday party. It was supposed to be a boston creme cake with cookie crumbles. When we got it, we immediately noticed the cake had "sprinkles" instead of cookie crumbles. Not that big of a deal so we kept it. Upon cutting the cake there was absolutely NO creme filling inside. None. Dry as a bone. Like come on, this is for kids. Take some pride in your work. Won't be going here ever again. Place looks like it's going out of business anyways. If this cake is any indication as to why... it's not a surprise."

"I've been wanting to go for over a year, I saw them on the phantom gourmet. I was finally in the area and stopped in for some donuts. The donuts were very good but the place seemed to be in shambles. There were pastry boxes all over the place, so the tables were not usable. But right down the road is a parking lot to a lake, so we sat at the lake and ate our donuts, which were very good. They have lots of Taylor swift decorated donuts, got one for our daughter."

"Absolutely obsessed with these donuts. They have your basic standard donuts, and the fun gourmet flavored donuts. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious. I love to get a regular iced coffee here when getting my donuts. The coffee hits just right."

"we LOVE donut king. 4 stars only because the place is kind of chaotic when it's busy and I would love to see this place get a face lift. however the staff is patient and kind. there is a parking lot. the donuts are top notch and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. coconut honey dip is my favorite flavor. I'm not a coffee drinker but according to my friend who is, it's great coffee. definitely a little gem!"
