"Post renovation, the Playwright is awesome! My husband and I’s favorite thing is to go listen to the Thursday night band, The Mockingbirds. They are awesome and a live band adds such a cool atmosphere!"

"The first time I went everything was immaculate would give this place 5 stars hands down. Today I don't know what was going on, all the plates on the table were still dirty and you could visibly see a lip mark still on my glass they brought out for water. When I asked the server for a new plate she looked kinda upset or annoyed but went back and got a new plate that was again still dirty. However, my group and I still had a good time and ate some great food."

"When you’re in a corner booth & management canNOT give you an extra chair because “they are expecting to get slammed” and you and you’re 8 friends sitting & 1 standing order many drinks and apps and food , but no one ever comes for the other tables by the time you leave, I would say that’s piss poor customer service. Food was great and wait staff so friendly. One star for awful management."

"The warm lighting and dark wood drew us in as we slid up to the bar for food and drinks. Fresh baked biscuits and juicy fried chicken were paired with just the right amounts of slaw, pickles, and spice in the Chicken and Biscuit sliders. The truffle fries were covered generously with aged parmesan and came to us perfectly crisp. The slow burn of horseradish in the Alabama white sauce made us want to slap the chef and order another round of wings to go. The food is fantastic! We’ll be back to see Stephanie at the bar and all the great staff at the Playwright."
