"JOA Electronics was sent to me from LG because my washer/dryer combo machine is causing my breaker to trip. I've had electrician check my outlet, replace my breaker and look at the wiring of my machine TWICE, this is not an electrical issue. This guy came to my house, said that I need to replace my breaker despite my telling him otherwise, so I did. When I called him back and explained that it didn't work he continued to fight me while I had my electrician listening in and we informed him there is an issue with the ground fault, he refused to listen and hung up on me."
"Quickly diagnosed my LG dishwasher issue over the phone. Got the part needed and installed quickly. Very clear about price up front. Friendly and did a great job."
"I don’t usually post reviews, but after using JOA Electronics I had a very different experience than so many negative reviews. My washer had leaked, but it was no longer under warranty. LG gave me the name of JOA Electronics, but so many reviews were bad. I called another appliance service I’ve used in the past but they said they were not LG certified and wouldn’t get good tech support from LG. So I called JOA. He responded to my call quickly. He charges $100 service plus parts. (That’s not $100/hour, just $100!) We set up an appointment for later that day, gave me a 30-minute window, and said he would text when on the way. He texted me at the end of the appointment time window apologizing and saying he would be 30 minutes later. When he arrived, he was wearing a mask and took off his shoes. It turned out that I had caused the leak by not putting the washer filter back correctly after I cleaned it. Wanting to be sure that the problem was solved (and thinking of all those bad reviews), I asked to remove and reinsert the filter myself, and then he ran the test again to assure me that the leak was fixed. He was patient about that. (And it has stayed fixed through several washes since.) I was happy to spend the $100 and have the problem fixed so quickly. As some reviewers have noted, probably English is his second language. I found him easy to communicate with, by phone, text, and in person. He is a bit terse, but polite."
"He is the worst technician I have encountered and consider this review as 0 star. He came to repair my LG tv and the first thing he mentioned is: you ruined this tv because you are using an external led light without even knowing the complete issue. I am using external led for past 4 years with my other tv and recently started using it LG tv. Issue was there were frequent disconnection of soundbar and tv and also firestick. Funny part was he said that you are using an HDMI and sound cannot be output to a soundbar from a HDMI. I told him I am using HDMI arc and it works for soundbar and he said straight away said no and asked me to use optical cable as HDMI cannot be used for sound output. I think he is unaware about how new tv works. As I was showing him the sound cut off issue he said he can't spend more than hour here and have to leave soon. Luckily I was able to show him that issue in time. He called LG technician and said the customer was using an external back led light and that is the reason things stopped working even though I mentioned him several times that this issue was there even when I was not using led lights as I was using it for another tv. Because of this Lg would have voided my warranty because of this guy. Lucky for me Lg did agree to replace it under warranty. He came back next day and changed the motherboard and still the same issue. He said he will talk to LG and let them know the issue is still there. I called LG tv two days later and asked him about the status of my repair. They mentioned the technician has closed the case as he changed the motherboard without mentioning that the issue still exists. I got really frustrated and LG people called the technician and asked about the status and he said that the customer issue is because of the soundbar and he is not telling this to LG (even though I mentioned to him that this is my 3rd soundbar and I tried with both vizio and Yamaha). Also, same issue was there with Amazon firestick as well. Stay away from JOA electronics even if agrees to fix your things for free. He is unknowledgeable, rude and terrible technician."
"JOA was one of six names I got from LG as my TV couldn’t connect to WiFi anymore after 3 years. I called the “highest rated” company on the list and was told it would cost $195 labor for me to bring it 25 miles away plus $50 for parts. I decided to call JOA as they were only a town away. I called on Friday afternoon and told the technician the problem. He confidently said it would be $100 labor for him to come out and no parts. Easy fix. I was skeptical. He said he could come that night or Saturday. I asked for Saturday 4-6 and he called before 3 and asked if he could come early. He was here 10 minutes after we hung up, got out of his car with a mask on, took off his shoes before coming in, and left 20 minutes later after showing me how he fixed the problem. Best $100 I’ve spent in awhile AND told me he’d refund me if I called LG and could get them to open a case (which he said they should if I was persistent because it’s a known issue). I may pay nothing and the TV works perfectly (and told me to let him know if I had any issues). It just goes to show that going by reviews isn’t everything!"
