"Ramen was delicious and filling. Could have a bit more variety for the vegetarian Ramen. Their matcha dessert was delightful, thoroughly enjoyed it. They also have an amazing beer selection, especially the premium malt."
"I had an amazing meal at Taishoken! I ordered the vegetarian miso ramen, and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of savory miso goodness. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the assortment of vegetables added a great variety of textures and tastes. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a comforting bowl of ramen. The service was quick and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. If you’re a fan of ramen, especially vegetarian options, Taishoken is definitely worth a visit!"
"The karaage and signature tokusei tsukamen were delicious and filling. The amount of meat provided is slightly above average for a ramen restaurant. The karaage came with a generous portion of aioli and was perfectly crunch and juicy! The restaurant was half empty at 6PM on a Tuesday, but it filled up quickly starting at 6:30. Skip the cocktail that’s a riff on an old fashioned (I forgot the name) — it tasted watered down."
"Great spot to meet up with a couple friends for dinner on a Monday night. Most restaurants were closed but we were happy to try this spot! The ginger lime sake cocktail was very refreshing. Fried gyoza were 3/5, kinda bland. Sandstorm calamari really great with a good seasoning on top. The classic ramen was very rich and tasty. The noodles were thin (as in skinny) but with a good texture and chew. We all added the egg which was excellent! I feel however it shouldn’t be an add on and just included. It was great nonetheless. For dessert we had the taro donut, there was way more ice cream than donut, so it could have been a little bit more proportionate but the taste was very good and it was still enough for the three of us to share!"
"Nice spot to pick up ramen in the mission. They have a “thick” noodle ( Tsukemen ) for dipping and they’ll top it off with hot water in the end to thin out the broth and for more enjoyment. The calamari is seasoned delicious and extra crispy. They’re mostly all tentacles (my favorite) so heads up if that’s not for you. The hand roll was simple and yummy. Only this place can itch this craving"
