"This review is for Origen's food stand at the Bay Area Book Festival in May 2022. I had a vegan tlayuda, a plate-sized crunchy tortilla topped with black beans, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes and a mild or spicy sauce. It was fresh and tasty. The vegetarian tamales looked wonderful, too I also had a maracuya (passion fruit) agua fresca, which is one of the best agua frescas I've ever had. It was sweet and refreshing, which I expected, but it was also served with slushed ice, which was a nice surprise. That gave it an extra texture that added to its yumminess. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The cashier told me my food would take 10 minutes but it was ready in half that time. There was a steady stream of customers while I was there, which is a sign of its popularity. Be sure to check out this La Cocina graduate if you see its stand at a festival."
"Rosa was at the SF Craft Chocolate Experience opening night serving her empanadas. My friend and I were so full from the chocolates so we were sent home with two veggie empanadas. They are life changing delicious! I would describe them as “veggie pot pie” empanadas that are filled with squash, corn, and green beans. My new favorite empanadas!"
