Reviews
"I did my research on where I wanted to get a lobster roll in SF and landed on Broad St. I also loved the option of adding caviar. I had a great recommendation with the orange wine, it was perfect. The roll however was only just OK. I opted for warm with butter. I found the lobster to be a little dry and lacking in flavor. I’ve had some amazing lobster rolls and unfortunately this wasn’t one of them. Looks good though."
"I’m torn about this review because there are many great attributes to this new restaurant in Ghirardelli Square… The restaurant itself is a beautiful setting with a fantastic bar set up and seafood display. The staff are very attentive and quite friendly. For the food, this is where I’m torn a bit. I ordered the “World Famous” Lobsters Roll (I’ve never heard of it before)… now, I’ll disclose I’m a huge fan and New England Lobster Co down in Millbrae, so that’s what I’d be comparing Broad Street’s Lobster Roll to. The Lobster Roll was lackluster… it tasted good, but there was very little “content” to it, especially when you factor in the price. Other than the two lobster claw pieces on the top, there was very little lobster in the actual roll. I felt a bit ripped off… on the other end though, the fries were awesome! Great texture and the Old Bay aioli was delicious. I have yet to try the rest of the menu, so I’m being optimistic in giving this place 4 stars for now. I’d give a 3.5, but the staff was nice and the fries were stellar. Hope to go back and give the rest of the menu a try."
"Broad Street Oyster Co. at Ghirardelli Square is a seafood lover's dream come true! The lively atmosphere is perfect for a casual feast, and the location couldn't be beat. We dove into their fresh offerings, and everything was amazing. The rich and creamy oyster Rockefeller was a decadent starter. The lobster roll showdown was a highlight - the warm with butter was delicious, but the chilled with mayo stole the show. The lobster was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, with the mayo adding a touch of creamy magic. We also enjoyed the luxurious sea urchin spaghetti and the sweet, perfectly cooked Dungeness crab. Crispy French fries were the perfect salty companion to all the delicious seafood. So happy they opened in Ghirardelli Square - it's a must-visit!"
"Nice and warm day and had a weekday off. Decided to head down here to try the lobster roll and enjoy the warm vibes. To be fair, the last time I had a lobster roll was months ago at New England Lobster Company in Burlingame near the SF airport. That along with Woodhouse Fish Co. would be the places I go to for a good lobster roll. Love the booth and aesthetics of this place and how you can watch the making of your seafood plates of deliciousness. Caviar (snack)- love the taste on fresh hot chips and a dab of the crem franchise. Simply indulgent. Linguine w/ clams- Was surprised at how good it was and it was my first time trying it Lobster roll- good sized lobster roll with nice and fresh chunks of lobster. I added the uni but it definitely is very good on its own. The bread used was warm and rightly buttery. Not too expensive but definitely not cheap at 27 dollars! Service was fast and quick. I will definitely return to try the lobster roll cold. Think this is a great place for locals and tourists alike. Parking can be found but not as easily. Great addition to the Wharf area and another place in SF to that yourself to a nice lobster roll!"
