"After a long, rewarding hike in Yosemite, Bar 1899 was exactly what I needed. I decided to treat myself to one of their local beers, and it was just perfect—refreshing, with a crisp taste that really hit the spot after a day on the trails. I also ordered a burger, which was just what I was craving. It was cooked just right, with great flavor and a satisfying bite. The whole experience, from the friendly service to the relaxed vibe of the bar, made it the perfect place to unwind and refuel. If you’re looking for a great spot to relax after exploring Yosemite, Bar 1899 is definitely worth a stop."
"Tenaya Tempura Shrimp with Chili Crisp, Ash Oil, Charred Cabbage, Furikake, Cucumber and Tempura Sauce. I'm sorry, this is the kind of food they serve at Campsites in Yosemite?? And here I was thinking I'd be snacking on hot dogs and granola bars all weekend. What a delicious meal to have in the middle of a national park! I was blown away by the complexity of textures and flavors in this dish for the affordable price of $15.50. Highly recommend checking out Bar 1899 if you're ever onsite! This is inside the 7 Tents Pavilion, so you may end up in cafeteria seating, but it has a few tables inside the bar itself too. Servers will bring you your food when it's ready and beer is served immediately."
"Lost in the wilderness of Yosemite and craving a decent meal? Nestled within the food court in the Curry Village, Bar 1899 offers a welcome escape from typical cafeteria fare. While the menu is small - think burgers, tacos, wings, and some salads - it delivers big on taste, especially considering the limited options in the park. Ordering is simple - head to the counter, place your order, and grab a number to display on your table. Despite the Friday night rush (it was packed around 8:30 pm!), service was fast and friendly. I opted for the Sierra Smash burger, a two-patty masterpiece featuring caramelized onions, American cheese, and their signature 1899 sauce, all served with a side of fries. While the presentation was a bit on the messy side, the taste did not disappoint. The caramelized onions added a touch of sweetness, and the 1899 sauce was a clear winner - flavorful and tying everything together. However, the patty itself was a bit dry, and the bun could have been a bit warmer. I wouldn't recommend ordering a coke from here. You'll mostly get ice and no drink. Minor shortcomings aside, Bar 1899 is a lifesaver for anyone seeking a burger upgrade in Yosemite. It's undeniably better than the neighboring Seven Tents cafeteria, offering tastier food and a more relaxed atmosphere, despite the crowds. Overall, Bar 1899 earns a solid 3 stars. The friendly service, decent selection, and decent (though slightly messy) burger make it a great option for a casual meal in Yosemite. Just be prepared for a crowd, especially during peak hours."
"Shockingly good food and more than reasonable prices. Burger, fries and a beer for 20 ish bucks is not bad considering where it's at and the fact the pizza place wants to bend you over and 45 bucks for a pizza"
"Honestly had my expectations low for a bar in a version 2 of Disneyland but HOLY. The Nashville hot wings were one of the, if not best wings I have ever had. From the texture to spice level and how they fry them. They were incredible!! The Thai were okay tho"
