Reviews of Takoyaki Yama-chan
"Have came here several times and we always get their combo menu where you can choose a flavor plus the original one. This time we got the garlic butter shoyu, honestly we both weren't a huge fan of it. Didn't like how sweet it was. We'll stick with the original next time haha but still super good and love the concept!"
"Hot, crispy outside gooey inside, deliciousness…it took a few minutes in line, about 10-15 min for the order to come out, and was an amazing satisfying snack. We got a combo of regular and negi."
"Fun novelty street food! Piping hot, soft and gooey in the middle with a thin delicate crispy outer skin. The bonito flakes and sauces are very savory, making this a perfect street snack. Service was just okay, as they’re pretty overwhelmed."
"I’m a weirdo, I had takoyaki in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and even Hong Kong and each time I say this is ok, nothing special. Today my friends insist we try Takoyaki Yama-Chan’s and I guess I still don’t get it. It’s ok too. Service was good and ours were served hot without much wait."
"First time trying out Takoyaki and it was delicious although I didn't eat the octopus, instead I gave that to my wife. Haha. Too bad they don't offer shrimp or some other sea creature. The balls of dough are so flavorful and at first they look crunchy but they are so soft and a bit chewy inside. Be careful though cuz those fluffy balls are nuclear steaming hot inside! The sauces add to the flavor explosion you experience as you bite down on these morsels of goodness and the flakes of dried Bonito dance as the heat and steam waft up from the tray as you stare at the mesmerizing undulations like they are waving for you to pop those balls into your mouth. Overall I love these treats and it's a great kerning to what other treats await you in this Japanese shopping mall."
