"One of their bankers, Jennifer was really helpful and knowledgeable regarding beneficially matters. I really appreciated her patience while I was in this branch. She was great! As far as clearing check goes, although my account was out of state, most of checks (including large amount) that I deposited into my account were cleared by the following day and at the longest one, it took 2~3days. I believed that this was because of age of my account. It was over 25 years. Also, even my account has a bit benefit due to this reason, whenever I deposit a check to my account through a teller, I always ask her/him for a funding schedule like how much would be immediately available, and thereafter so that I know exactly how much I can use by when."

"There's nothing wrong this location. There are however reviews that need explanation. It's a bank. There are regulations for the protection of the bank and ALL the customers. When you open a bank account you a get a document that tells you what the hold times are. The told times are based on several factors including your banking relationship. Clearly those posting their complaints have no idea how extensive check fraud is in California. The cost of processing checks that are NSF and dealing with fraud are expensive and so checks get holds. That's why banks push you to get Direct Deposit whenever possible. Then notion that "it's my money" is a fallacy. It WILL be your money when the bank that the check is from releases the money to Citi and it goes into your account. THEN it's your money. Before that it's a LOAN."
