"Cute little lighthouse. Wish we could have gone inside as we planned. Note that the hours are actually 10am - 12pm (not until 2pm as it says here). We planned our trip and waited a year to see the lighthouse, had talked about it for days leading up to it with the kids only to get there at 12:30 and missed it. Needless to say my 3 and 6 year old were extremely disappointed. Lots of other people we passed were very upset too."
"So poorly maintained that the viewing platform, to be used when the lighthouse is not open (which is 30 out of 31 days per month) is practically hidden in the undergrowth. Not a worthwhile destination. I hope none of the businesses in Trinidad are hoping for tourist $$."
"Hiked out to the lighthouse to find gate blocking the last distance. Not publicized, no signage until you get to the gate. Beware, you need to hike up the hill in order to see this sign."

"Fun walk and visit today; opens first Saturday of the month. Beautiful views of the calm ocean behind Trinidad Head. Watch out for poison oak along the road. Wonderful bird sounds along the path."
