She earned her Bachelor's degree in Politics from Willamette University in 1998 and initially pursued a career in stand-up comedy and singing before discovering her true calling in law.

Annette graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2009 and honed her skills at the nonprofit Housing Rights Center and a boutique employee-rights law firm. In 2013, she launched her own practice, where she passionately represents clients in employment, housing, and civil rights disputes.

Annette's dedication and skill have earned her recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2013 to 2019 and a Super Lawyer in 2020. She was also named among the Top 100 Women Lawyers of Southern California and the Top 50 Up and Coming Women Lawyers in Southern California.
