"Some very nice people there. Talented. Others, busy on personal phone conversations. Mixture of good & not so good."
"July 11, 2024 Gallery showing 1 pm to 4 pm Edward B. Snyder "Big Apple to So Cal" July 3rd to July 14th Here is a little history on the gallery. In the year of 1939, the Art Association respectfully constructed its permanent gallery on Painter Avenue in Whittier. It is truly remarkable that after all these years, the art gallery continues to stand strong and serve its purpose. With a dedicated team working collaboratively, this art gallery remains vibrant and continues to thrive. Mabel George Haig was a highly esteemed artist and writer. In the year of 1934, she was the major co-founder of the Whittier Art Association & Gallery as it still stands today. It was respectfully built to be an art gallery, although it resembles a house on the exterior. Various events take place here, providing artists with a platform to respectfully showcase their life's work. 30% of the sale of each artwork or art piece, whether it be canvas style painting, cards, or jewelry for sale. 8 car parking behind the art gallery as well as a back door entrance. Plenty parking on street. Restrooms are available."
"OK I’m here with my daughter but I’m really broad about what I see it. I’m really really like it. I recommend it to come here."
"A huge variety of reasonably priced art. Great for gifts and my own personal use and enjoyment. It's always nice to rotate my art decor for a change!"
"For more than 80 years, The Whittier Art Gallery has showcased the artworks of renowned Southland artists for locals and visitors to enjoy. Lisa Keffer, Yukiko Avila, and Lynn Azali are just some of the artists featured. A number of events and workshops are held throughout the year. A gift shop is also on-site; this is where you’ll find unique items for sale, including jewelry, handcrafted ornaments, paintings, and more."
