"Locally known as "The Boys of Del Valle Park" and coined in a poem by Dennis Lander who was also a Lakewood resident. The Korean era plane was part of the original dedication in 1959 but it was newly rededicated in 2015 which is also the site of the annual Veterans Day ceremony. Push the button near the lamppost and you'll see the runway light up which the kids love!"
