"PLEASE STOP ALLOWING DOWNEY ANIMAL SHELTER TO KEEP EUTHANIZING HEALTHY AND GOOD DOGS EVERY DAY!!! This is known as ANIMAL CRUELTY AND ABUSE. They say the reason is due to lack of space but its hard to believe that they have no intentions to help find homes for these dogs! They just kill them for no reason. Lots of people were ready to adopt dogs from this shelter and their staff ignored their emails and calls, and end up euthanizing the dogs!!!! They were ready to be adopted. This is unacceptable!! What a shame that even the superior team there lies! PLEASE CITY COUNCIL MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES TO ALLOW A GOOD HUMAN TEAM TO TAKE OVER AND CONTROL THIS ISSUE AND HELP THE DOGS FIND NEW HOMES, better finance control to accommodate them and receive the proper veterinary care. PLEASE!!!"

"I think it's pretty sad that Downey City Counsel has only 1 star. Aside from some bad experiences I've had personally I think Downey does a great job or serving the majority of it's citizens and that every city has it problems. I'm happy to love and own a business in Downey and even though it's tough to get things going. Downey mostly makes good decisions to keep the community awesome."
