"Local historic park. They recently renovated the central gazebo and it looks amazing. Plenty of open grass space for anyone to utilize."
"For an excellent neighborhood area, Rose Park in Long Beach is it. There is a park in the middle of the street, and cars just drive around to go thru like a small round-about. All surrounding neighbors in Rose Park are sent a flyer stating the weekend day and asked to donate food for the event or a monetary contribution. There are music games, and everyone puts down their blankets and chairs and mingle along with all the fun. The traffic is blocked off with no inconvenience for the duration of the event, which ends at 4 pm. My husband and I attended with our son, who lives in the Rose Park historic area along with one of his friends who also resides in this area. Great job, Long Beach original planning."
"Great little park! My doggies were having a great time here. People meditating and playing ball here was inviting."

"Our lovely neighborhood park in the round. Snuggled into the neighborhood of mostly early 1920's bungalows, well maintained with fascinating gardens leading to the micro park. Stroll down 8th Street and take in the historic LB SoCal ambience."
