"I visited the Potter’s House by the invitation of a complete stranger who gave me a flyer. I stayed because of the genuine love I felt from the people I met there, even on the first day. It was very different than what I had experienced at other churches I’d gone to in the past. The people seemed real and made me feel comfortable so I continued to come back. After returning several times I was impressed that it really is a Bible believing, God centered church that teaches the truth. It was exactly what I was looking for in a church. I feel the presence of God there and I have never left."

"Hello How are you doing my name is Erica Sutton and me and my kids has never attended you r before but maybe one day we will. My kids and I have been living in different shelter for eight months now not receiving no help. There where days they fed us and there was days they didn't feed us. We live in Salvation Army on whither and my caseworker and casemanger told me that they don't give section eight vouchers. I have been looking for a job been on interview nothing. I am a single mother and it seems like they are playing with our minds. My casemanger here at the Salvation Army refuse to help with low income apartment or with anything.. She gave me some interview clothes that where dirty and to big and she just laugh in my face. I threw them away the next day. My bathroom sink had got stop up. I ask them can they fix it they told me to put accident report in a they let the maintenance man know. Three days went by nothing four days went by nothing. They final fix it today.. It woman here keeping up stuff talking about people and I don't want no parts of it. I just want to get me and my kids a place to call our own. One day they told we that they wanted to zoom with me.. Now this is the whole child. So we can know what to say and do on a interview.. They kept putting me on put. He told me he was going to have a phone interview and he never did. They had me in a room at lakeshore Ave and the shelter manager was calling me a liar and said I was rude a disrespect and her staff was just sitting right there.. I don't trust there program its a big joke and that's sad, embarrassing and harsh how they treat people.. Since I been here at the new shelter I had good but its been a lot of bad days.. I'm just trying to keep my spirits up..please help us in low income housing.."
