"This is such an important land mark place of value I lov how it's kept all theese years"
"A fire station on the first floor of the city building. Brought back to how it looked in the early 1900's with the original engines and equipment. Tons of tools, pictures, maps, etc. Very helpful and informative staff. Park across the street to the east at the Maritime Museum. Walk in through the open fore station doors."
"Being a firefighter I found it very interesting, stayed two hours. A kid interested in fire engines might be good for 15 minutes, my wife, maybe 20 minutes, at the most. Volunteer staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining how old apparatus functioned."
"Giving this museum one star is being a bit too generous! Great amount of history and information along with equipment and artifacts to go along with it! However, their staff, specifically one of the five on hand, needs proper etiquette on how to reprimand children. Specifically, the rude host was wearing a hawaiian shirt when we visited on Saturday, July 8, 2017. I don't know if he needs to confine himself to a retirement home or just not be around children at all. I wouldn't recommend my students to visit while that person, paid volunteer or not, is working and would advise families not to as well. It wouldn't be a memorable experience until he had a proper attitude adjustment! Hopefully my call to "David" at their other location would have made a change on how he approaches museum visitors, specifically children."
"Open on Saturdays, the guys that man this station have a wealth of knowledge, real treat!!!"
