"Very friendly laity and nice/quiet area. Also a small SSPX Chapel. Came for the First Saturday Devotion for Low Mass at 8:30AM. They do not have many Mass times available but they do provide a reverent and respectful service. They provide the Traditional Latin Mass ONLY along with traditional Catholic Mass rules and practices: so please dress appropriately and be respectful during the Holy Sacrifice. The SSPX is definitely recognized by the Vatican as valid and licit. Would definitely recommend for any first-timers to SSPX Chapels."
"Very good experience here with the Baptism of our youngest granddaughter. The Priest was surprisingly warm, friendly, caring and made us feel very comfortable and welcome."
"A beautiful little Parish to celebrate the traditional (Latin) Mass. I know the SSPX's irregular canonical status can be controversial to some modern Catholics but for me personally, attending one of the Masses offered by the SSPX, witnessing the great love and care given to the sacrifice of our Lord in the Mass, and hearing the phenomenal preaching offered by the various preists on the truths of the Catholic faith stirred up a fervor for our Lord and conversion in my heart that I had not experienced while attending other Novus Ordo parishes for over 8 years. If you have any interest in attending the Latin Mass or in deepening your Catholic faith I would encourage you to meet with the priest at this Parish, or their sister Parish in Arcadia (Our Lady of the Angels)."
"A respectful correction of Lady Mermaid. This is an official Roman Catholic Mass sanctioned by numerous popes including Pope Francis, said according to the Tridentine Rite, that is, in Latin, which was the only Mass before Vatican II. Those of us who attend these masses are called Traditional Catholics. We believe in the old ways of the Catholic Church which were practiced before Vatican II. Some things we do differently than the current, popular version of the Mass (Novus Ordo Mass) are that we kneel to receive the Host, we never accept the Host in our hands, and we only receive the Host through the mouth directly from our Priest's hand. To do otherwise would be blasphemy, to us. We believe that significant Graces are given to those who practice the Mass in this manner. We also believe that all changes to Traditional Catholicism by Vatican II are heretical and not accepted by God."
"This is an official Latin Catholic Church. Not Roman Catholic it is not sanctioned by the Vatican. They have their own religion that is based on Roman Catholicism but the mass is All in Latin. It only happens once a week at one specific time. 8 a.m. Sunday morning. There is a plaque outside that instructs how you must dress and enter this church. Women cannot wear pants. You will not be able to come in. They will provide veils to put over your head if you did not bring one yourself. Men cannot wear jeans and no one can wear sneakers. You men must have a dress shirt and jacket. They do have some jackets to provide if you do not have one. They are friendly enough that if you came in not wearing appropriate attire they will sit you in the very back. New pair of It is great to view as a tourist. It is the old fashioned Latin Catholic mass for the priest has his back to the audience. They will give you Latin prayer books to use for the math but they ask for donations for that book. And you can reply back in Latin. But usually someone that regularly goes here will share their book with you. And then the altar men. They're not Altar Boys here perform a whole choreographed steps to go back and forth and forward and backwards side to side every time the priest says a few sentences. It's a lot of work out! And then to get communion you go to the front and kneel down at the altar. So you like something very strict and traditional from the 1700s this is the place for you"
