"One my favorite natural areas to hike! This is a really cool place with several ocean view loop trails! Parking with access is from the Ladera Linda Park. From there, cross Forrestal Drive to the trailhead. There’s gate access past the trailhead on Forrestal for sports field players and attendees. At the end of Forrestal is a dirt trail that loops up and connects with the trail above and alongside Forrestal Drive, back before the gate. I always like to end the hike here with the sunset!"
"Greenery and quiet make this hike beautiful and breathtaking in more than one way. Steep incline on the trail we traveled, so beware if you're traveling with a pulling dog! I will definitely be back. At the peak height of the trail, there is a beautiful view of the ocean. Lots of lush greenery and a walkway maybe 1" wide make you feel pretty immersed."
"Great beginner trail, seeing as how it’s the beginning of spring there are plenty of wildflowers everywhere. It’s very beautiful and provides sweeping views of the ocean. I went early in the morning so the ocean breeze really helped keep me cool even with the sun shining. There are designated trails for hiking, cycling, and horse riding which is very helpful. My only complaint is the dog poop, please pick up after your pets, people! Take nothing and leave everything as you found out."
"Great hike, took the patch starting from the right side of the gates. Peaceful area with great photo worthy moments. Able to see Catalina island."
"We stayed in Los Angeles for a week and our last day was hands down the highlight of our trip. We spent all day hiking the winding trails on a 10+ mile trip. The difficulties varied from *very* challenging to beginner level hikes. It was so cool to get to the highest point and see the helicopters below us!"
