"I almost went to the old location. I didn’t know that they moved until I looked up the hours operation. It wasn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I started an application online in the morning for a name update/change. The office is open 9am-4pm Monday thru Friday. I went in at 3pm without an appointment. I checked in at the kiosk and waited around 20 minutes for my number to be called. The worst part was finding parking. It’s only street parking. The surrounding lots are all permitted. All the employees were friendly and helpful."

"Well I have some good and bad things to say about the Torrance Social Security Office. The Security Officers are wonderful especially Mr. Will he has been there for years. Glad he was there today he helped me calm down . The staff for the most part is wonderful, but there is one lady in particular by the name Mrs. Brown is rude and very much unprofessional she shouldn’t not be working there. Other then that I love the staff and the office they are very helpful and understanding just not MRS. BROWN SHOULDNT BE WORKING FOR THIS COMPANY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL"

"I got there at 9:30 am, prepared to sit for hours, waiting for my turn. I was finished by 10:00 am. The security guy was welcoming and kind. Only problem is there's only street parking ..the surrounding businesses post signs warning, "No SSA Parking." (That's not SSA's fault, except with their choice of location with limited parking.)"

"The one in Torrance only asks that you have your phone on silent and they don’t search bags . Don’t bring food unless it’s closed bottles or closed packages. I brought my vape but didn’t use if of course. I was there about under a half hour to get a replacement card. The one in downtown LA didn’t allow vapes and checks bags.but it was fast ad well. Torrance was nice though. I went on a Tuesday and there was a long line to get in but it went quickly. I spent about half an hour in total there. Very fast."

"We visited this office a month ago. The elderly Filipino man with glasses who works here told us to come back for our appointment at 11:30am today. We did and it turns out, it was a phone appointment at 11:30am - a call we never received. The woman who was supposed to call us gave us an attitude because we were annoyed that THEIR worker gave us the wrong information. Completely incompetent. The only helpful person is the security guard."
