"First time taking the bus and it took me to LAX bus center where I transferred to the shuttle. It was fast and convenient! The us driver on #3 also advised I switch to the #8 which was great advice."
"I’ve been a Torrance Transit Rider for a year now. The fact is that LA Metro buses are better than Torrance Transit despite them having their issues. I took Lines 3, 6, 1, 5, and 2. The inconsistency in timings is unbelievable when commuting to ECC and other places. I use the Transit App, which shows each bus’s arrival at my bus stop. These buses I have been taking lately arrive 13 minutes late or, worse, never. My wait time is always longer, and of course, let’s not forget the sunshine during the daytime. There’s no shade for riders waiting, no electric buses to reduce emissions, and rude operators. Speaking of rude drivers, they proceed with all their training requirements to pass red lights and think their fathers own each road that exist. All their funding went to their new stupid transit center, which explains much about their management. Torrance Transit’s failure to prove public transit better explains why we have so much traffic and too many cars in SoCal. I will be riding with them till mid 2024 and then stop, very disappointed."
"Torrance transit was terrible back in 1986 when I was going to S.C.R.O.C. I use to take bus to Artesia and Crenshaw Boulevard transfer on RTD bus 282.. Torrance transit was never run. Buses were always dirty so doesn’t surprise me that Torrance transit represents the image of Torrance and they still don't care.. About their image! It’s pretty sad"
"Most of these drivers are very very rude A holes, and racist. I've noticed that when it's a black driver and black rider, easily let them go with out paying, some riders just say and board. Any other person I've seen the drivers give the rider a hard time for not being able to pay. I had a few incidents where I wasn't able to get change and the driver was an a hole.(2) usually late and or don't show up at all VERY inconvenient.(3) some of the drivers drive too fast and a lil reckless. One of the drivers by a few inches almost caused a MAJOR ACCIDENT. almost crashed between a parked box truck and a big rig to our right. She let out a little yell and let go of the steering wheel for a second and still drove to fast. One of the other drivers drives super fast and every few stops will get off the bus to use his cell phone. Bad transit company the so called dispatch are rude and incompetent."
"One of the most terrible transit systems I've ever ridden. The drivers are always rude and have a bad attitude. Drivers for the LACMTA (LA Metro) does a better job than them. Service is lousy, buses are always late or never show up. Torrance Transit as an agency should be dissolved and be replaced by LA Metro."
