"A place to lose the cape of religion and trade it in for quality fellowship with God and people. The pastors are so easy to approach and talk to, it’s a family I am truly blessed to be a part of."
"Are used to live in the Torrance area three years ago are used to go to churches in the Southbay, but now I live in Northern California I had a few medical issues so the senior pastor at coastal Christian church, which I’ve known for years I reached out to him he used to work with him and his wife at another church I’ve called them numbers of times and sent emails reaching out. I needed some prayer to from him. He never called back. he probably sent two emails to me. He had my phone number because I gave it to him over his voicemail. So I believe. The reason he never reached out I’m not part of his congregation in the church. But that’s sad. Can’t reach out to a brother or friend who needs someone to talk to he avoided me which upsetting, but that’s OK that’s between him and God he needs to get on his hands and knees, and ask for forgiveness, and pray how they treat individuals the senior pastor needs to read the scripture. Matthew. 25:31-40 and it doesn’t matter not a member of that church because of attitudes from the pastoral staff"
"Church is all about God and his word and the people are a reflection of that. I love the church. There is freedom of expression in worship and the Holy Spirit is not restricted there. Strong emphasis on worship and prayer. Such great freedom, one time the pastor brought out big beach balls into the sanctuary, about 10 of them, and said “my sermon is about the Joy of the Lord today, I want you all to play with these beach balls while I preach this morning!“ So people were bouncing the balls high laughing and all over each other in the sanctuary while he preached the word on joy! It was fun and so free and so full of joy, I will never forget it. The word of God is strong at the church. The message on joy was about letting go of religious feelings and just have fun in the Lord. Great pastors great people!"
"I was mortified when I found out about how this church was responding to the current pandemic. As a Christian, I know it is possible to believe in Scripture while also believing in science and data. After my grandparent contracted covid here after an outbreak at the church, the church leadership still fails to take accountability. Is it God’s will if one dies in a fire that is negligently lit in a building while it isn’t encouraged for people to not evacuate? Thankfully God can still hear one worship and pray to him even with a mask on. I’m grateful my grandparent has recovered. I hope all else who have gotten sick from the outbreak here recover as well, but let’s be intelligent and proactive about protecting and caring for each other during this time."
"The service was good, but the people are not warm and friendly. Greeters just kind of stare at you until you ask a question. Went to grab coffee and people standing by the coffee table talking just stopped, stared and went back to talking. I’m a Christian and I was taken aback, I can only imagine how a newcomer to the faith would feel. The church should feel different than what I feel living in LA on a daily basis. This could be a great church if the people were more loving and kind."
