"Best cannelés and weekend treats in the Mission - limited edition beignets with rotating seasonal flavors like plum and black tea, caramelized Bartlett pear and cheesecake, black sesame and white chocolate. Michelle's French-trained pastry expertise shines in every confection! Don't sleep on the potato galettes and cacio e pepe focaccia either."
"Cute baked goods spot in mission. Limited options and prices are high. $6 for a buckwheat brownie which was really interesting - almost savory? And very rich. I enjoyed it but I’m sure it’s not everyone cup of tea!"
"At a Sunday event in the Mission, an acquaintance showed up with a big pink Le Dix Sept Patisserie box of pastries. He didn’t share :( The pink box itself put me on an alert. A bakery I hadn’t tried yet (!)…I scurried over asap and found this super cute shop on 18th St between Mission & Capp Streets. All their goods looked photo worthy, but taste? I found the day’s camomile & kumquat cake slice to be pretty. The cake itself was very dense and heavy. Very disappointing. However the yummy butter cream was bright and citrusy. I also bought two cookies. The cardamom chocolate chip which used some alternative flour (it seemed). The cookie was dense and chewy. Okay. The other was a matcha coconut cookie. This was the winner of the bunch. Moist and chewy with a pale green color. It’s what a cookie should be. I suppose Le Dix-Sept is a gluten-free or wheat free patisserie since the baked goods I tried had different than norm textures and little sweetness (less sugar?) in their cookie or cake bases. I’m open to all but high priority for me is flavor. 3 Stars for flavor 4 Stars for ambiance 4 Stars for service If alternative baked goods are what you’re looking for or need, here is a bakery for you."
"The botanically-inspired baked goods were quite delicious, especially the passion fruit filled (from France) almond tart. There’s a small amount of outdoor seating (with plants) as well making for a comfortable area of respite."
"Really happy I was able to pop in here! Plenty of seating outside and I love the decor with all the plants! Everyone was very kind and the story behind naming the restaurant after the owner’s lucky number was really cute! I got the passionfruit almond pastry which paired wonderfully with the complementary hibiscus tisane tea from a local tea business they are partnering with m. The tea was so good that I ended up buying a bag as a gift for a friend! Definitely come check them out :)"
