"Fantastic hike. Lot of closures due to rain, but still worth a visit. Can take an easy route or something tougher at around 7 miles."
"The parking situation is sketchy. If you want to park close to the trail you have to pay about $10-$11 through a mobile app. I parked 2 blocks down from the entrance of the hike and thankfully I didn't get a ticket. After walking for about 10 minutes straight, I ran into 3 different trails. I explored 2 of them and the scenery was amazing. You get to enjoy the mountain view on one side and the ocean in the other. It's definitely a workout. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back to explore it further."
"It was kind of confusing on where to start and where to park. We found a parking lot that was $6 a car (which I thought was reasonable). And then we just started walking. There are a lot of different trails to go on and a lot of steep paths, as well. We walked by the beach that was full of rocks of all shapes and sizes. They had such cool markings on them! I guess depending on which trails you take, depends on how difficult the hike is. If you’re in the area and are into hiking.. check this place out!"
"Parking - you can do street parking for free alongside the road on Crenshaw Blvd, north of Crest Rd near St. John Fisher church. The designated parking requires advanced reservation and is $10.75 for 2-3 hrs slot, so may not be worth it. The street parking May add 10 min walk before you enter Portuguese bend reserve but worth it. There are so many trails inside but marked well at the crossings. You can keep walking as much as you can and just follow trails on google maps (zoom in to see trail names) to guide you back. I took the Burma road trail and came back on Ishibashi trail making it a 4.3 mile hike total. Burma is wide and ishibashi is bushy and narrow but beautiful with all the flowers. Great views of PV covered in evening fog and we saw lot of hares on the trail."
"Wonderful system of hiking trails with an seaside view. Wouldn’t call this an easy hike by any means as there are plenty of inclined stretches, including a glute intensive set of stairs. But definitely a beautiful area with plenty to explore. Walk through the nearby neighborhood too if you want to see some cool homes. We ended up stumbling upon an estate sale!"
