"I had a terrible experience with Extra Space Storage. I scheduled my move-out for the 20th, but on the very day I was set to pick up my belongings, I received a call from the staff informing me that a fire had occurred the night before. They waited until 11:00 AM on the day of my move-out to inform me—just as I was heading out to the facility. I made six calls after that, spoke with three different staff members, and not one of them could give me clear information about the situation on-site. All they could say was that no one had access to it. The complete lack of transparency was incredibly frustrating. I flew all the way from Seattle to LA just to retrieve my belongings and move into my apartment, only to be left with nothing—no essentials, nothing to live with. When I asked if they would compensate me for the items I’d need to repurchase if this dragged on for days, they told me that my rental was valid until September and that they’d only compensate me if I couldn’t retrieve my items after that. My roommate and I walked on the 24th, checked in at the SAME TIME, and I could see my name was right under hers on the list. But despite this, she was assisted within five minutes, while I ended up waiting for over AN HOUR AND HALF, watching as other customers—who definitely weren’t ahead of me on the list—were helped before me? When I asked why so many people were getting assistance ahead of me, I was told they had scheduled online, but my appointment was technically much earlier. The front desk employee Marian, who was incredibly patient and kind was the only bright spot. She answered all my questions and tried to reassure me throughout the entire ordeal. However, despite her best efforts, the overall experience was full of disappointment. Plus one of the team members of yours needs to learn to lock the bathroom when doing their business. Overall, the mismanagement, lack of communication, and outright confusion made this an incredibly stressful situation. I will never trust this storage company ever again and will not recommend."

"UPDATE(7-20-2024): **I was very fortunate enough to have Brittany call me to help resolve my issues with the storage unit. She was kind, considerate and empathetic.** It was great witnessing her be a professional. Previous post: I reserved a unit yesterday. Today I got there and couldn't get in with my code. The representative let me in, but it's not the same as being able to access it when I need to. You need the code to access the gate and elevator. They must fix this a.s.a.p."

"I remember seeing this storage facility being built and passing it by all the time. Now I’m occupying a small unit here. I’ll keep this short. Really good clean space. Love all the cameras and security steps to access the units. It’s an easy process however not just anyone can access the floors with all the units. I haven’t had any issues with being able to get to my unit and I’ve been in and out 3 or 4X’s. Climate control units are the best for me. Parking is limited but I’ve been able to get in and out without any hassle. Once again this is a very clean space and I’m big on things like that."

"Very clean, the attendants are very resourceful friendly and professional! The storage unit is conveniently located I like the security measures I like that you only have access to your own floor so random people are just not walking around with possibilities of break-ins. The greatest and the best location in town. I got the 5x5 storage unit and it's very spacious you can put a lot of stuff in there. The units are affordable. The hours are reasonable and appropriate to keep down unnecessary activity."
