"Dozens of food trays given to passengers that were covered in black mold. Look at those pics online! Now 1000s of complaints to the US DOT because they are so terrible they can't recover from the Crowdstrike tech outage and they aren't covering passengers food or hotel costs. Delta is the only airline that has thousands of cancellations per day. Every competitor back on their feet. Even the lowest cheapest airlines like Sun Country are back and fully running. Truth is Delta has no internal communication. Truth is they thought bragging and showing off and being the fully "woke" airline would carry them through it all over the past several years. They are just fluff! Avoid them. Anyway they charge more just because they are the "woke" airline. I myself used to fly them frequently up until 2017. Last stop for me was Guatemala City with them. They had me pulled out of line and wouldn't save my place for security check. Its random and has happened to me with other airlines, BUT every other airline returned me to my place in line and rightfully so."
"An absolutely horrific experience. Baggage handlers in Los Angeles destroyed my daughter’s luggage and no one at the terminal with Delta would help her. They just sat there and watched her cry as she tried to file a baggage claim which they were no help with. In addition, she never received a baggage claim ticket number. This slowed down the process of making a claim tremendously. I’ve wasted my entire day haggling with Delta. Associate Aretha hung up on my daughter and I today. I’ve never seen a more heartless, unprofessional group in my life. No one cares. Those ground associates are extremely miserable. And they transfer that misery to others without a second thought."
"I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I had on flight DL498 on May 26, 2024. The sequence of events and the lack of effective communication from Delta staff have caused significant inconvenience and frustration. Initially, my flight DL498, scheduled to depart at 11:55 AM, was delayed to 12:40 PM. Shortly after, I received another text message informing me of a further delay to 2:00 PM due to mechanical issues. The delays did not stop there. Another text message indicated the flight was now delayed to 4:00 PM. Seeking clarity, I approached Delta employees who informed me that there was a maintenance issue and a part needed to be flown in to fix the plane. They assured us that it was a minor issue and not to worry. When we inquired about changing flights, we were told all other flights were fully booked. I had to open an American Express Reserve card which allowed me to wait in the Sky Lounge area, providing a small respite from the chaos. However, when I came down at 3:00 PM to check on the flight, I received yet another text message indicating a further delay to 4:30 PM, then 5:00 PM, and then 6:00 PM. Throughout this time, Delta staff provided no substantial updates beyond stating that the plane was being worked on. At this point, it would have been more reasonable to cancel the flight and rebook passengers on alternate flights, rather than have us wait indefinitely. Eventually, we were informed that the flight would not be departing that day. We were provided with hotel accommodations and left the airport. The confusion did not end there. Upon arriving at the hotel, I received another text message stating the flight was now scheduled for 7:30 PM, causing unnecessary anxiety about potentially missing the flight. After calling Delta, I was reassured that the flight was delayed until 6:00 AM the following day, May 27, and had nothing to worry about. I set my alarm for 3:45 AM and arrived at the airport by 4:30 AM, only to find out that the flight was canceled. I did not receive any text message, email, or alert about this cancellation. I called Delta again and was rebooked on flight DL9887 at 9:45 AM, which was subsequently delayed and did not depart until around 11:00 AM. This entire ordeal, characterized by continuous delays, poor communication, and inadequate information, made it the worst travel experience I have ever had. The lack of transparency and failure to provide timely updates exacerbated an already stressful situation. I urge Delta Air Lines to review this incident and take corrective measures to ensure that such occurrences do not happen in the future. Effective communication and timely updates are crucial in managing passenger expectations and mitigating inconvenience. I would appreciate compensation for the significant disruption, time wasted, and stress caused by this incident. I hope to hear from you soon regarding this matter. "I paid extra not to ride with Spirit for Terrance the flight attendant to not care that my baby has separation anxiety and tell me I’ve been a problem that while flight and I paid for what I paid for and I paid extra to get treated like scum from ppl whom have put lives on there hands but he gave an aligiant flight attendant that companies the whole time an I had to sit a deal with him huffing and puffing mumbling and he does it for a living as well as Terrance am he was given free pistachios etc from Terrance and not once did he help me with Delta separating me and my 3yr old seats all Terrance could say Is that’s what I paid for it took a kind passenger to help me and my toddler and let’s not get on the cleanliness Leftover trash food and liquids on the back of the seat as well as on the seat to tue right of me. I paid extra for all this I should have flew with spirit"
"I wish I could give no stars! Worst customer service ever. When my wife booked a vacation for my entire family and autofill feature accidentally filled 2 tickets to the same person and was an obvious mistake they did not care to fix the problem and ruined our vacation. Mistake cost me $800 for a $200 dollar ticket. BE WARNED STAY AWAY FROM FLYING THIS AIRLINE WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!! My reviews get 5000 views a month so I'm glad thousands of people will see this and hopefully not book DELTA"
