Reviews of Roessler Point
"A premier oceanfront destination, as it is Malaga Cove’s oceanfront connection! Here beachgoers can find free parking, great ocean view spots and a convenient access path to the beach. Sunsets can be awesome from the parking lot level too! Roessler Point is a geographical landmark as well as a point of interest, giving reference by the Roessler name to the first mayor of Palos Verdes Estates, Hans Frederick Bernard Roessler, or Fred, as he liked to be known as. From Palos Verdes Drive West, at the 4 way stop, head north to Via Corta, thru Via Almar and right at Via Arroyo to the parking lot. From there it’s possible to access the gazebo, paved beach trail, workout equipment, sports field and natural trails. There’s also a waterfall with runoff from the creek. It’s not so spectacular, tho interesting with the sights and sounds of the area! For beachgoers, the available stretch of beach is much less crowded than the beaches to the north. There’s restrooms to the north at Torrance State Beach, just beyond where the cliff hanging homes are."
"Small hidden spot not many people know about, there's a small gazebo which serves as a great outlook overlooking the southbay all the way to Malibu. Great place to whale watch too."
"Nice place to walk down to the beach and take pictures. I have been here many times before and I still enjoy coming here. The trail is paved but steep."
"Great place with great views away from the crowd! Would recommend going here for the sunrise early morning."
"Nice view, you can see all the beaches from Redondo to Malibu. Just park the car and a minute walk and you can enjoy the best wide view of west Losangeles coast. Or even you can walk down to the trail and enjoy the walking along the ocean. If you go down and then continue walking on your left side you will be under the Palos verdes cliff and watch one of the best views."
