El Segundo Dog Park

"Great dog park. Lots of space and respectful owners. I’ve heard different perspectives based on when you come here but I’ve only experienced a pretty calm friendly environment."

"Very clean and serene park! It gave the feeling a community gem that everyone who visits is sure to take care of. Many of the owners, if not playing with their pup, were picking up unclaimed pup poo and trash to ensure the spaces cleanliness. All of the pups during our time (around 4-5) were sweet & playful! Five stars for me!"

"My daughter's dog and I get a great work out here which is about half the size of a tennis court and gated separately for small and large dogs. The water fountain is located only in the SM section. The dogs are friendly, assorted sizes and playful. My dog loves to fetch tennis balls and learned today to catch the ball while jumping up in the air."

"Hate to give this place less than 5 stars because it’s great that it exists. That being said, it’s got to be the most underfunded large dog park of all time. It’s completely dirt with very little shade. The summer months are tough. I think revitalizing this dog park would do so much to increase the attractiveness of living in this area. Seems like the old heads don’t want that though."

"Revisited today, 4/21/24 The large dog side has reopened, but both parks are still mostly very dusty dirt. Nevertheless, my dog still had a good time! Rating reflects two maintenance related issues. The large dog area was closed due to a large erosion "landslide" so that all dogs and pup parents were relegated to the small dog area. The grounds were mostly dusty dirt with many holes and protruding roots from the multiple shade trees. Dogs vigorously chasing balls have an elevated chance of paw and/or leg injuries. Take care!!! Water towers and bowls were available and functioning adequately. There were three benches in this smaller side of the park. The large dog area appears to be more than two times bigger. Hopefully, after erosion repair, they'll renovate the grounds prior to reopening. A perfect opportunity to do so!!! Parking is street parking in an apartment area...kinda limited. Bottom line, a decent area for you and your dog to explore and exercise."
