"My family and I love to visit cemeteries. It is very peaceful and very quiet here."
"Always a peaceful place to go, and I like the fact that you can decorate your own gravesites the way you want too. No strict rules."
"got engaged here! one of the most peaceful and beautiful cemeteries I've been to, and now a forever special place in my life."
"The 12.2 acres was donated in 1870 by Mr. Leffingwell to the Masonic Lodge of San Simeon 1877 and used for this cemetery. Grass was tall. Scenic location and cool ocean breezes fan the raised arms of the pine trees. Who is Greenup Scott? Notice the wooden headstone and the oldest IG (in-ground) resident was a baby in 1798. All this under the watchful Monterey Pines, Coastal Live Oak and "Christmas Berry" trees aka Heteromeles arbutifolia or Toyon -----California native. Stones stood silently. Grass was tall and undulated in salty cold wind. Over 320 Veterans of our great nation are buried here and are deserving of care in this serene Cambria location."
"This cemetery is great, just enough going on to make you want to walk just a little further into the trees. I have found lots of interesting things and happenings here, definitely a must visit."
