"I feel like they are holding my results hostage. Had a phone appointment and missed the call. Didn’t try calling me back, and can’t get them to answer the phone. The person who set up the call wouldn’t give me my results other then you don’t have cancer or anything but the doctor wants to talk about it. What does that mean??? Why couldn’t he call me again??? And hasn’t sent the results to my doctor yet either. Total BS!"
"Procedure and prep was smooth, just be aware when recovering from anesthesia and your awoken by the biggest fart of your life, well I thought It was a fart. Sorry about the recovery room , I know it will never be the same again. Dr. Steady,s nurse Brenda helped me alot with questions and concerns after words and was amazing and veary caring. I would strongly recommend Dr. Steady , Nurse Brenda and team with the highest regards."
"I had a procedure by Dr. Steady for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. I have never felt more UNimportant by any group or medical staff in my life. You can't make an appointment with the doctor prior to the procedure so you can discuss your problem. Instead, you literally only see the doctor, seconds (immediately) before the procedure, and for less than 2 seconds. The night before the procedure I had to fast, and drink the large volume of laxative. I arrived on time for the scheduled procedure, however I had to wait more than 2 hours in the waiting room before being taken to the procedure room. I had not eaten for 24 hours, and had no water. Due to the long delay (it was afternoon by then), I was beginning to feel sick and was dehydrated. I politely asked the receptionist how much longer it was going to be and in a very flip tone, she asked me if I wanted to REschedule the procedure, as if the evening preparation was nothing. I was shocked by her insensitivity and lack of concern about my well being. The male nurse who helped me with the initial intake, was unprofessional, and behaved what I believe to be appropriate. I have never felt so uncomfortable in the presence of a nurse, male or female. Thank goodness for the anesthesiologist who was the only one who was professional and appeared to care about my well being. When the procedure is completed, the recovering room nurse provides the results, verbally and in writing. I was still feeling the sedation and therefore, I don't even remember what she said the me. There was no opportunity to discuss anything with the doctor and they did not schedule a followup appointment, so I was on my own to decipher the written report. Unless you want to be treated like a herd of cattle and a number, avoid going to this doctor at all costs."
"I went to Dr. steady to have rectal bleeding and anal pain diagnosed in January 2012. He performed a colonoscopy and pronounced no problem. I continued to have and complain of rectal bleeding and pain over the course of several months. At no time did he perform a digital or endoscopic check of the area. In August of 2012, I visited him again and insisted on an anal exam. Under duress, he acquiessed and performed an endoscopic check and biopsy. I was diagnosed with stage 3 anal cancer. Word to the wise, a colonoscopy in no way is an indication of anything going on in your anal canal. The cells are different, the symptoms are different. Dr. Steady has not even sent the copy of my colonoscopy to any of my physician group (including oncologists). Not a fan!"
"Dr. Steady has performed a few endoscopies for me. He kept me informed through the whole process and his anesthesiologist team are first rate. Nurses too!"
