"I wish I could give 0 stars. I tried on a dress and couldn’t get it off my body so I sucked up my pride put on my original clothes over it and went to go buy it. I told the lady at the register (quietly cause it was embarrassing) that I couldn’t get the dress off but would like to pay for it. She proceeded to laugh at me and go tell another co-worker they both walk back to me at the register and laugh together at me. I pay for my things one of the ladies is still laughing I told her “I don’t appreciate the laughter.” She continued to laugh and shrugged her shoulders. I walked out of that store sobbing. Completely unprofessional. When I call the number to talk to a manager no one picks the phone. I have been a customer for 10 years I will never go back and give them my business. Horrible and unprofessional staff."
"I have known for a while that you could sell your clothes for cash at Plato’s Closet. When I went to sell my clothes, they had a list of items they were willing to purchase, including jeans, long sleeve T-shirts, and athletic wear. I sorted my clothes and gave them a bin mostly filled with Hollister jeans and other name-brand items. After leaving and coming back when they told me my clothes were ready, they informed me they only wanted to buy one shirt from Target, which still had the tag on it. They offered me only $2 for a shirt that was originally $20, knowing for sure they could resell it for much more. Extremely disappointed with the lowball offer and the overall experience."
"Plato's closet was incredibly disappointing. There's a curly-headed heavy set lady that speaks broken English. She was very rude to me when I walked in the store. She did not greet me. She just said some kind of a lie to me when I walked in. And assumed things about me too. That's really unfortunate because I had five Chanel dresses I was dropping off. I'll be calling the franchise owner and letting them know as well"
"Extremely disappointed that I was given a gift card from another Plato's closet and upon check out, was told that they do not accept them from other Plato's Closets. The clerk called Raysa, the manager, who informed her to just apologize and did nothing and again, said we don't take them, even mentioning that corp. was aware of the situation. Yet, online it states valid at all locations, on the back of the card it indicates the same. The clerk went as far to explain that they don't even take cards from the next city over, yet the cards states, "All locations". The overall response was best of luck while there were several teens running in and out of the back office and laying on top of the counter."
