Reviews of Wilder Beach Overlook
"If you love nature this is a place for you, fantastic views, windy (but that nice breeze that keeps you warm enough to not use a jacket, and cool enough to stay dry and not damp in sweat) if you're going to visit the Fern Grotto (because you saw it in Instagram) do a reality check in google before going there."
"Very family friendly. Young kids can bike. Dogs are not allowed. Bit windy. Get jackets and hats."
"This is an overlooked of a nature preserve where there are always lots of birds chilling out on the sand. You can reach this spot by parking in the Wilder ranch parking (parking fee) or you can ride in on your bicycle. This is a beautiful ride on a bike path from Santa cruise that is paved most of the way until you get to the Wilder path where it turns into dirt/sand. Most of the trail is pretty smooth but there are sections that's washboard, sand, and rocks."
"A beautiful trail along the coast in Wilder State Park. The trail is mostly flat and not too strenuous with great views overlooking different alcoves along the coast. The only downside would be the mountain bikers that treat the trail like a highway."
"Beautiful place! It looks like a never ending coastal trail. I went in November so the place was dry and the weather was cloudy. One of the must-see nature's marvel. I think summer/spring would be the best time to go."
