Reviews of Lucy's Massage Studio
"I wanted to get a massage on my day off and found this place. I read the reviews, which were mixed, but decided to give it a try! I called and asked for an appointment the next day. I understand many places cannot accommodate last minute appointments so I was fine with getting a no. But she simply made an "ugh" sound like my request was an inconvenience then said "call tomorrow". I'm definitely not calling back when thats how you answer your phone!"
"Poor experience...tip hungry, skimpy on time, and too many disruptions. Won't be returning. I don't have high standards for massage. I simply look for 60 minutes of quiet relaxation. Massage started OK, but my therapist proceeded to leave the room a total of FIVE times during the massage to greet guests. It was disruptive and the lost time was not made up. Well, again, no biggie. Maybe they're short on staff as it was the end of the day. Upon exiting the room, my therapist immediately asked for tip before I even got to the front desk to fill my credit card receipt. Again, I give the benefit of the doubt, these people work hard. I left greater than 20% tip and the therapist immediately said "so little?" Are you kidding me? At that point, I was ready to talk back, but simply thought I'll vote with my dollars, not return, and left. A little background...I'm second generation Asian American and after the therapist discovered that I speak limited mandarin, all subsequent conversation, including tipping, was in Mandarin. Turned out to be another case of Chinese being rude to their own kind. Would a 20%+ tip have been insufficient I weren't Chinese?"
"Worst massage I’ve ever had. The place was clean and nice but pretty unprofessional and unfriendly. My boyfriend and I got a couples massage and afterwards we both agreed that it was the most painful, uncomfortable and unprofessional massage we’ve ever gotten. It was bad enough I wanted to get up and leave in the first 20 minutes but kept waiting for it to get better and was worried it was just me and my boyfriend had been enjoying himself. Not the case. We both had to tell our therapists multiple times that they were being too hard. Their techniques didn’t seem standard and didn’t focus in on our muscles, it was just a lot of hard rubbing in general areas. It felt lazy. At one point, the therapists left, and came back in: one with hot stones that were WAY too hot, the other without stones at all. I got a painful stone massage where I had to say “This is way too hot it hurts” while my boyfriend was wondering what I was even talking about. It was a waste of money- we left in pain."
"I had my first massage experience at this massage studio about two and a half months ago with Lucy. I decided to go back the following week because I found the studio very clean and the staff very professional and friendly; overall a very relaxing environment. This time I was massaged by Linda, a very professional, clean, strong and caring person who always strives to deliver the best massage possible to make you feel good and relaxed. Linda accomplished her goal and made me feel so relaxed that I've been going back every week at least once, and often twice for a 90 minute or two hour massage. I'm extremely pleased with my experiences and highly recommend Linda and the studio."
"I must have driven past here hundreds of times over the years but never really noticed it. After reading the reviews I decided to give a massage here a try. I love that you can schedule an apt on-line right from the website. I scheduled an apt with Dazhen--let me tell you she has amazing hands. I was strung tighter than a rubber band from neck to lower back. She spent a lot of time working on my muscle knots and stretching out my tight muscles. She wasn't shy about getting up on the table when she needed better leverage for more pressure. Well worth the $50 for an hour massage--I will definitely be back!!"
