"Been wanting to stop here for several years. I was heading to Eureka from Idaho and traveling highway 199 and my GPS directed me to take this route vs staying on the main highway. I was aware this was not the best route to take and questioned my GPS logic. I was not in a rush to reach Eureka so I took the route my GPS told me to take and finally got to see the bridge and yep just about a mile farther up the road I was no longer on pavement and encountered a sign cautioning me about non maintained road and to travel with caution. I turned around and went back to the highway and continued on 199 to 101 as I have done for many years. The bridge was worth the detour but man never fully trust your GPS nothing beats a real map and of course knowledge of the area. FYI this is the second time this year my GPS was completely off its rocker about the directions it gave me. Last time it wanted me to drive through trees w/o a road. Stupid technology"

"This covered bridge has very intriguing architecture for Engineer and Design type people. I highly recommend riding bikes up from Jeddediah park to check it out."
