"San Clemente pier is a nice destination to watch the sunset and have a drink and some food at the fisherman's restaurant, parking is always convenient and if you look you can find free parking on some of the side streets.or you can purchase a parking pass for the year "call city hall",under 100$."

"Great place to spend the day. The local Pier Market has everything you didn't bring, and the Pier Grill and Tackle is a great little restaurant. It's NOT fast food. Lots of nice areas around the beach to cook out or just roast some smores on one of the Fire pits."
"Nice day at the beach. Warm but needed a shirt. Beach is clean and plenty of lifeguard staff on duty and they seemed attentive. We just enjoyed the sand and beach. The pier was not crowded. Beach was somewhat busy but very nice. Wish it could be the same simple crowd when the sun is out but people come out when the sun is out. Convenient close bathrooms and food is close. We brought our own food but saw many leave and come back quickly with food and it appeared they liked it. We enjoyed our day and will return. Just remember and plan for the weather as it changes from warm to cool."
