"This place absolutely sucks. Out of the 6 months I’ve had there service they have “forgotten “ my trash about 6-7 times! They never answer there phones and when they do they give you some stupid excuse and tell you they will put a note in for you, well that doesn’t do any good! Wish we had another option here locally."
"They are less than ok. Frequently off schedule with bin pickup, and often no show for street sweeping. I stopped moving my car for them to access the street because they just spread the dirt around instead of getting it off the road. Dirt alleys, along with the poor street sweeping contributes to dust pollution and gravel in the road in my neighborhood. I gave up composting because of rats and racoons and just got a bigger garbage bin for kitchen and green waste. Online billing and phone answering are good. I called a couple of times to alter our service. They only contact me about billing, never about their efforts to improve service or anything newsworthy they do."
"Inconsistent pickup, its a mystery if they will show up or not & the price for a commercial property dumpster is outrageous! Then a 42 minute hold time to try and find out why they didn't pick up or how to lower our bill. Frustrating to say the least."
"I live outside city limits so I am not required to have this very expensive service. I have been trying for 4 months to get Recology to take back the garbage and recycling bins that the previous resident paid for and they are still taking up space in my very small front yard. The Eureka dump is just 5 minutes from here - why has no one come to pick up the bins?"
"Honestly a joke of a company. Lived in the Bay Area with no problems then, but here they just don’t want to do their jobs. Missed a single payment, due to their own system “forgetting” my saved card info, and because of their mishap, I had both my cans taken from me off my property without warning or notice. Had to call them to find out. Had bear straps on there too, to which they would not replace nor give me the same cans back. After hounding them for days, I finally got a measly $40 credit. Then last week, I don’t put my cans out because I did not have enough trash, and they still bill me for the week and inform me, after emailing them, that regardless of the can being put out or not you get billed. On top of that, the last time I put my cans out I had a message written out by the workers in big black sharpie on top of the recycling bin saying to keep them 3 feet apart. I lol at this because this is unprofessional to a high degree, passive aggressive, and doesn’t work in this situation due to our street being narrow with cars being parked on the sides. Not much to do there. Highly considering just taking trash to the dump, it seems much more affordable and you won’t have to deal with the boneheads at Eureka recology."
