"I wanted to experience this trail as I love willow Creek very much nearby. However, this trail is extremely dangerous and should not be attempted unless you are experienced and are from the area. You can die here if you are not careful. I wish the county or state would revitalize this specific trail with a concrete stairway as I would love to get down to the beach area like willow. As much as I want to go down this trail again one day I probably never will because I want to live to see another day."
"I loved this place. It's definitely one of those spots that isn't for everyone as it is difficult to get down to if you're not in the best of shape. Lots of serpentine that you will think is jade but still is cool too."
"Yes, there IS Jade here, but it isn't plentiful. Getting a palm-sized piece of nearly black jade is a treasure. Vulcanized jade is more common, but just looks like an orange rock ;) . LOTS of serpentine rock, a soft green rock with veins of asbestos. The road just opened May 26th 2023 (landslide repairs). Some slides into Jade Cove at the main way down wiped out the second rope down."
