"Parking on the side of the road. Locate the sign at the trailhead and walk towards the shore and to the right. The path will take you down some stairs to a river where the lilies are. We came a little late in the season but there were still lilies there. Follow the river to the beach and it loops back to the trail head. Warning you'll need to cross the river once you hit the beach and it's hard to do without getting your feet wet."
"Pleasantly surprised by how many lilies we saw in a concentrated area. You will love it. Just a short hike down a well trafficked hill"
"This is the last state park on the Big Sur coast to allow canine visitors. The beachfront is a magical place to enjoy a barefoot walk on the sand. We visited on Sunday April 7 2024 and there was plenty of parking on the side of the road. Definitely you will enjoy sunrise and sunset in this hidden gem."
"This is one of those places that have been on my list to visit for years and I am so happy I finally made it. We visited on March 22 around 3pm and it was a peaceful dream. We went on a lovely walk at Garrapata State Beach and ventured over to see the lillies; a true californian fairytale. The flowers are starting to wither, but nonetheless, still an amazing sight to see."
"Visited March 16, 2024 one hour before sunset. Only a few lilies looks prime and unblemished, most have wilted or have symptoms of disease since this flowers normally bloom for 6+weeks. Or it could be from too much contact from people. The grounds are muddy so be prepared. There’s is a porta-potty at the trailhead, California state park standard."
