"This blue jay got so close to me at the turn-around point of the trail that I had to share it. They will hop right up to you and peck at your feet. Incredible redwoods in the canyon too."
"I always go to Soberanes point & Garrapatta beach and forget to check out this trail on the left side of Hwy 1. I went yesterday and it was a absolute must! Beautiful river you can cross over many times easily with small mini waterfalls."
"Definitely one of my favorite trails in the area! Winded up looping to Rocky Ridge and it was perfect! Didn’t need walking sticks, but make sure you have some good hiking boots for comfort and griping purposes!"
"I love this trail because it takes you to a pretty stream thru a redwood forest. The redwoods start at .6 miles. There are stairs going up the hill at 1 mile. The trail is closed at 1.25 miles. It is not a loop. There are 6 stream crossings at least."
"Beautiful trail and views. I started along the ocean side which was nice, walked about 2 miles all around there and went to the two nearby peaks which has pretty views. Chilly at the top! I then crossed the road and did the mountain side trail, near the restrooms and barn. Equally as pretty but it did get very warm. Did a total of 5.5 miles but could have kept going if I wanted to. Would love to do this trail again. Highly recommend."
