"What a beautiful spot! The sand reminds me of Coco Beach Florida. The beaches in California are so diverse! This one is easy access, kid friendly."
"Loved this beach. So beautiful and fun! Easy to park and clean!"
"A great beach with plenty of space to spread out and find peace and quiet even on the weekend . One my favorite beaches in the area because of its easy accessibility and walk ability ."
"There’s a sign off of Highway one to turn to the beach. Then there is a sharp turn, so you don’t miss the beach entrance. You will come up to kiosks where they collect money. The kiosk itself is full of signs and overwhelming to read, so I didn’t. I did see that they prefer one $ and five dollar bills, but the lady took my $20. I’m not sure if they take credit cards. Once you pass the pay area, you stick your receipt on the windshield, so the Rangers know that you paid for a day pass, which, at this time was seven dollars. Within the long stretch of beach park, you drive slowly there are several areas to park. We went all the way to the end we did see a sign for experimental off-leash, dog area, but never actually saw the area. Maybe it was high tide and not existing at that time as another post mentioned. We went Sunday morning and there were quite a few people out and about from their camp or RV I can imagine it would be much more crowded later. We walked along the soft sand with our two dogs on leash. We did see somebody take theirs off leash to play ball when they were not near other dogs. Who were the kids playing in the sand, people riding their bike along the water, people strolling barefoot, fishing, kayaking. They were restrooms at this parking lot, but we did not go inside. Benches and barbecue spots were available. Along with trash cans and recycle bins."
"I've been here a few times over the years. The camp ground has been pleasant and Wonderful everytime I visit with my wife and her family. The whole beach and park are great, and provide a great day trip. My dog loved it as well. Will be coming back here many more times to camp and visit."
